Birthday parties

Please note that we can only accommodate birthday parties on regular running days and not on special event days or other times.

The railway is happy to provide parties with a train ride to help celebrate the event where the party will be able to have a train to themselves. Because the railway is staffed by volunteers, this is provided only between 12pm and 2pm during regular running dates as published, and not on special event days or other times. You can check the regular running dates on the Timetable and Fares page. If you would like to book a ride, then please contact us to see if it is possible. The cost is £20 per single run per train paid on the day. A train seats 14 people and we request that children are accompanied with sufficient adults to provide adequate supervision. Since we have little control over the weather and other external factors, we reserve the right to cancel the booking without notice (but also without cost).

Public running information

Trains normally run on the first Sunday in each month from March to November. The are a number of additional sessions during school holidays and some Bank Holidays.
