Trains normally run on the first Sunday in each month from March to November. The are a number of additional sessions during school holidays and some Bank Holidays.

Operating a railway involves a variety of specialist and non-specialist roles and tasks. This includes: drivers, guards, station master, ticket office, signals, track preparation and many more. If you are interested in getting involved, let us know.
Early morning
Locomotive preparation
3000 ft continuous 3.5”, 5” and 7.25” multigauge track with state of the art signallling, integral loop providing shorter distance for smaller locos.
Raised steaming bays, 12/24 volt blower power, compressed air and unloading bridge.
Fantastic setting next to Basingstoke Canal, barbecue on the Saturday evening.
