Frimley Lodge Miniature Railway

Trains normally run on the first Sunday of each month from March to November. There are additional sessions in August and some Bank Holidays.

August and September 2022 Public Running Days

The 2026 season starts on Sunday 1 March 2026

The railway will be open on the following days in October and November 2024:

  • Wednesday 30 October (school holiday limited timetable) 11 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm
  • Sunday 3 November 11 am to 4 pm
Tickets are available from the ticket office on the day. The fare is £1.50 per ride per person. Multi ride tickets are available at £12.00 for 10 rides. All major credit and debit cards accepted.

Children under 3 years old travel free. Babies must be secured in a harness attached to the parent/guardian. Dogs are prohibited except for registered service/assistance dogs. Footballs and similar items must be left with station staff. Backpacks and similar items must be stowed or left with station staff.

More information can be found on the Timetable and Fares page.

The 2026 season is almost here!

The full schedule for the year is available on our 'Timetable and Fares page'.

Please note that on all running days, including Wednesdays during school holidays, a fixed break will be taken between 13:00 and 14:00. The Santa Event in December has separate arrangements which will be available nearer the time.

Birthday Parties

Please note that we can only accommodate birthday parties on regular running days and not on special event days or other times.

The railway is happy to provide parties with a train ride to help celebrate the event where the party will be able to have a train to themselves. Because the railway is staffed by volunteers, this is provided only between 12pm and 2pm during regular running dates as published, and not on special event days or other times. You can check the regular running dates on the Timetable and Fares page. If you would like to book a ride, then please contact us to see if it is possible. The cost is £30 per single run per train paid on the day. A train seats 14 people and we request that children are accompanied with sufficient adults to provide adequate supervision. Since we have little control over the weather and other external factors, we reserve the right to cancel the booking without notice (but also without cost).

Santa Event Sunday 4 December 2022

Tickets for this event must be purchased in advance.

50% of tickets will be sold at the railway on Sunday 2 October from 10:00 am.

The other 50% will be sold at the railway on Sunday 6 November from 10:00 am.

Tickets are £5.00 each. Maximum of 6 tickets per family.

This event is always popular, so arriving at the railway early is recommended.
